heart warming, easy to watch, good character writing, funny, fun to watch, emotional roller coaster in the end
so glad to have a happy ending and not disappoint
relationship and backstory explained deep enough but not to deep and in turn making the main characters shine. the supporting charas are good too.

kyuu chan, ana sensei, hoikuen kodomo tachi, miri mama, rei's father, ogina the weird killer, hoikuen mama tachi, kazuki's late wife, kazuki's late wife sister,
the story really explores the idea of what could happen if duo assassins 子供を育てる.
as for the assassins part, the anime doesn't hesitate to show killing, bullet going through the head and all that. although at the end, when they raid 諏訪家 to talk to rei's father, i wish they did better, i don't like the usual shoot-out scene and the enemies just can't aim 有り得ない. but well they must win, if not, the ending is going to be weird and everyone will be sad, this is not that kind of story.
the animation is so good too. i guess most of today's anime are like that? what a time to be alive.
okay i didn't realize this is original anime not an adaption of anything, holy shit. 9.5
this anime really shows that i like good characters, good character writing, the most.
and this anime makes me rethink how i rate shows, i want to rate this a 10, but i realize they don't 感動 me as much as hxh or fmab or dorohedoro. that feeling is the last point.
also partly because i gave too much 10, made me realize there has to be a better way.
so 9 is my rating for amazing anime and 10 is for super miracle anime.
but fuck, this anime so good i miss it already. their daily lives, miri's voice, kazuki's goofiness, rei's directness.
i glanced through review and saw someone said it's like spy x family but cut out the plot. i guess if you're here for some deep lore you won't like it. but if you watch anime for a good time, to just chill, and be happy then this is for you.
honestly i think watching with while learning jp, with jp subs, really makes me enjoy this more. i really absorb and enjoy all the moments. i don't know if i could say the same if i use english sub. really makes you appreciate the story, the dialogue, and the writing in it's whole unchanged form.
i really wanted to give this a 10. but i have to compare it to another 10, how does this compare.
10 criteria is not only 感動 but i have to make a comparison.

i searched for buddy daddies and found in google collapsable questions, is this anime bl or queer, and they said queer. come on man, go away with your wokeness, i hate chronically online people. just enjoy the anime for what it is don't ruin the fun.
but they have one point right, this is a non traditional family. if you want to advance the story further, you have to explain how can they be content with their own company for 10 years. i mean kazuki hangout with girls often, but rei's love life didn't get too much attention.
i don't like to think about what things could be, when the way thing is right now is good enough for me. all's well that ends well.
